Brewing up a Christmas campaign for Coopers

Coopers DIY Beer provides beer enthusiasts with everything they need to home brew.
It’s a one-of-a-kind product that offers many benefits but its appeal is often limited to serious technical brewers.

To attract a broader audience during the Christmas rush, we created a festive theme to advertise Coopers DIY Beer more widely and position the kits as a great gift idea.

The campaign needed elevate the brand above the overly promotional and sales-driven messaging customers are exposed to at Christmas so to give it personality, we introduced the brewer alter-ego of fictional Christmas reindeer Rudolph: Brew-dolph.

Brew-dolph was the face and voice of the campaign becoming a cheeky advocate for Coopers DIY Beer kits and why they should be under people's trees for Christmas.

Brew-dolph featured in all campaign creative across Meta, Google Display, YouTube and in e-DMs sent to the Coopers database strengthening the association between Coopers DIY Beer and Christmas.

Every creative asset, from copy to visuals, was carefully considered to bring Brew-dolph’s personality to life and deliver a memorable campaign.

The campaign produced excellent results with sales of 8.5L and 23L kits increasing significantly when compared to the same time the previous year.
