One of South Australia’s largest full-service advertising and digital agencies, Them, has acquired brand and strategy specialist Algo Más to expand and deliver a superior service to clients.
The acquisition increases Them’s workforce to over 30 and sparks ambitions to extend its team by 30 per cent within 12 months.
Them managing director Leesa McMahon said Algo Más’ eight-member team brings a strong property project marketing skill set, several national clients, and an extensive brand strategy department to Them.
Algo Más, Spanish for Something More, has worked with property developers Citify, BuildTec and Catcorp, State and Local government agencies, Walford and Munno Para Shopping City.
Them’s clients include State and local government, Elders Insurance, Toro Australia, Pope, Samuel Smith and Son, Eagers Automotive, V.I.P. Home Services, Thirsty Camel bottle shops and Chapley Group Foodlands.
“Algo Más’ very impressive client base will now have access to Them’s full in-house service structures, from media, digital, design, strategy, web and print production,’’ Ms McMahon said.
“It is not in our values to sit still. We are in constant pursuit of improvement, always looking for ways to best serve our clients.
“As a 360-degree agency, our vision is to be the agency of choice.
“In order to do that, we focus on our culture, the talent and skill sets to drive our mission, “your success is our success” for clients, in such a competitive environment. It is all about integrity, followed by great advertising and marketing.”
Julie George, who established Algo Más in 2005, said the merger of expertise creates a greater service offering for clients.
“Them shares similar values to Algo Más, including a focus on client service. Combining our strengths means we are now one of the most experienced strategy and implementation agencies in South Australia,” she said.
“In an industry where female agency heads are rare, especially within an agency of this size, working with a female managing director really appealed to me.”
Mrs George becomes strategy and growth director at Them, responsible for providing strategic advice to clients and growing the agency.
“I’m looking forward to working with Leesa and the Them team to provide fresh insights and further branding expertise to new business,’’ Mrs George said.
Them executive chairman Mark Wightman said: “Leesa and Julie have achieved a great result for everyone, the clients, the staff, and the marketing Industry. We can look forward to continually delivering outstanding marketing solutions to our existing and potential client base moving forward.”
